Paper sector
The paper industry in Italy boasts a long tradition dating back to the second half of the 1200s. It all began when in Fabriano, a small town between Ancona and Perugia, pasta began to be prepared using multiple hammers driven by a camshaft, connected to a water wheel. However, it was only from the early 1800s that a real production on an industrial scale was started, which in two centuries has consecrated Italy as a European leader in the production of paper for household,
hygienic and sanitary, also recording very high shares of production of paper and cardboard for packaging. Given the complexity and criticality of production processes and the need to have a production cycle as continuous as possible, the typical processes of these productions require not only a high quantity of water, but also excellent quality of the same with maximum control over the typical problems.
